Matt Wiebe is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Niagara Falls, ON who attends A.N. Myer S.S.. Younger player with a lean, slender build and frame, and lots of room to continue to develop physically and add strength. Posted a 7.30 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, rounded the ball, showed a quick release, with developing arm strength. At the plate, started with a wide base, open stance, low hand set, and a toe tap timing mechanism. Worked well up to the ball, showed quickness to hands, and generates bat speed. Lets the ball travel deep into the hitting zone, short, compact swing, and an approach that worked up the middle and the opposite field.
