Santis Sanchez is a 2017 C with a 6-0 199 lb. frame from Las Piedras, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Big and strong build, young face and body, significantly bigger than listed size. Top of the scale arm strength, outstanding carry, throws on a tight line to the bases, very accurate throws, low release throws, arm stroke and lower half actions are a bit long but arm strength makes up for it, receives the ball well in games, has the athleticism to stay behind the plate. Right handed hitter, loose and strong swing, swings hard and can drive the ball, showed the ability to drive the right centerfield gap along with pull the ball, tends to get out front and off balance at times, best contact when he stays back. Arm strength alone makes him fun to watch.
