Wesley Hamor is a 2021 C/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Tama, IA who attends East Marshall HS. Medium frame with an athletic build and square shoulders. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a wide and even stance. Receives out front with some softness in hands. Gains short ground out of the stance with a compact transfer. Accurate throws to the bag topping out at 73 miles per hour and popping a 2.10. Righthanded hitter with a spread and open stance utilizing a short leg lift trigger for timing. Middle of the field to pull side approach. Upper half dominate swing while creating bat speed through a line drive plane. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into leg lift slightly above the belt. Compact arm action in the back and into a three-quarter release. Stays square at the gather with drop and drive actions to the plate. Gets to extension out front with a straight fastball topping out at 75 miles per hour. Spins a tight curveball with late depth to the pitch. Excellent student as well.
