Porter Cox is a 2019 OF/LHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sugar Land, TX who attends Stephen F Austin HS. Medium athletic build with a strong lower half. 7.02 runner, has the speed to be a good outfielder, shows some young arm strength that will improve with more momentum behind his throws. Left handed hitter, comfortable load, swings hard from an inside swing path, tends to hit under the ball at present and work middle away but his best contact was pulling the ball. Also pitched, pretty clean pitching mechanics, low effort release, fastball topped out at 78 mph with good sinking life at the plate. Good student.
