2018 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Kyle Potthoff is a 2019 RHP with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Chesterfield , MO who attends Marquette Senior HS. Large projectable frame with broad shoulders, long limbs, and lots of room to fill out. Primary righthanded pitcher who only threw during the event. Compact delivery with a quick tempo and releases with some effort. Quick pacing between pitches with a short, quick arm stroke that leads to a high three-quarters arm slot. Goes right after hitters and attacks well. Mixes four pitches for strikes and utilizes his changeup very well in all counts. Maintains arm speed on the changeup that shows good fading action to it. Fastball topped out at 88 mph and has good arm side run. Slider had more sweeping action to it while the curveball had more tight rotation and sharp 11/5 break. Pounded the lower half of the strike zone with very clean mechanics throughout. Good student. Named to the 2018 PG Fall TP Showcase Top Prospect List.
