Kinson Michel is a 2019 3B/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Nixa, MO who attends Nixa HS. Medium frame with a solid build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.81 sixty yard dash. Primary third baseman with rigid footwork while surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front with developing fluidity. Topped at 82 mph across the infield from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and leg lift trigger. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions with minimal shift. Hands show a loose, extended path to contact generating an uphill plane through extension. Primarily used a mid-field approach that produced flashed the ability to turn barrel and work to pull side as well. Also pitched showing a simple side step delivery to leg lift. Stays on line to the plate well while driving and carries momentum through finish. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot that generated occasional downward angle to the plate. Filled the zone effectively with a fastball that sat in the mid 70's, topped at 78 mph. Mixed in a two-seam fastball at times that flashed good running action to arm side. Curveball had 11/5 shape with good spin and depth when located down in the zone. Good student. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition.
