Kyle Oberbroeckling is a 2018 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-0 215 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Davenport West. Large frame with a solid, strong build throughout. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step delivery. Creates coil over back let at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Swings front side slightly but maintains momentum to the plate through finish. Higher take back at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Aggressively attacked the strike zone with a fastball offering that flashed good downward angle in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Maintained arm speed with a curveball offering that had 10/4 shape with loose spin and occasional depth. Also flashed a changeup with some sinking action down in the low 70's. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing clean footwork while surrounding the baseball. Fundamental glove actions when funneling out front and working through exchange. Released from a compact three-quarters slot topping at 76 miles per hour across the infield. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance. Simple, rotational lower half to contact and hands worked to baseball on an extended plane. Flashed some bat speed when on time and primarily worked to the middle of the field. Ball jumped some off the barrel when working to the opposite field gap. Good student.
