2016 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
Cade Fenton is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Prairie Grove, AR who attends Farmington. Large frame with long, lanky, highly-projectable build at present; good room to continue filling out body moving forward. Primary pitcher, short rocker step back into delivery with high leg kick, stands tall on backside and utilizes lower half well into drive downhill towards the plate. Front foot lands slightly closed creating some crossfire action to delivery, quick arm through the back up to high three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 85-88 MPH with heavy running life to the arm side. Creates good downhill plane and when combined with velocity in movement, makes fastball extremely tough to hit. Showed curveball with sharp, deep 12/6 shape and power depth; throw curveball for strikes and did an excellent job mixing it in with fastball. Worked out defensively in the infield, good hand at the ball with surrounding footwork, fields with two hands and moves well through the ball, threw across the diamond up to 83 MPH. Named to 2016 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
