Owen Bodine is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends River Bluff High School. Tall frame, good pitcher's body, long with some build. Primary pitcher, short arm, hides ball well, fastball has some good sink and arm side run, good glove side mechanics. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, curveball had 2/8 movement with some depth and flashed sharpness, sweeping action on curveball, lower three-quarter slot, runs the fastball in on the hands, tough against left-handed batters. At first base, long arm action, decent accuracy, decent footwork, developing arm strength. Offensively, narrow stance, leg lift closes stance, showed hand sped, line drive plane, high hand set, high back elbow. Got to all fields, frame shows strength, balance to the swing, pull hitter who can go up the middle, some hip turn.
