Matthew Wilson is a 2020 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Kathleen, GA who attends Houston County. Medium frame with slender, athletic present build; good projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.56 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, pitches exclusively from the stretch, compact arm stroke through the back with spine tilt at foot strike to allow arm to reach high three quarters slot. Generates some plane to the plate, fastball worked in the 70-74 MPH range with occasional arm side life. Shows some ability to pronate wrist at release and create cutting action to glove side. Found zone and threw strikes as outing went on. Sets up to hit from opened stance with high hands and back elbow, rotates torso through swing and creates some bat speed, showed ability and willingness to work to the opposite field. Worked out defensively in the outfield, long strides to the ball with good balance, fields cleanly out front and shows long arm stroke through release with good accuracy to target, topping at 72 MPH on throws.
