2017 Mid-Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Shawn O'Hea is a 2019 OF/2B with a 5-7 142 lb. frame from Hazlet, NJ who attends Raritan. Medium, athletic frame with slender build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright, narrow-based stance with high back elbow; sinks into hips well and shifts into contact, creates good leverage off of front side, gets the barrel moving on line drive swing plane and shows good ability to square the ball up to all fields on a line. Worked out in the outfield, plays low to ground and moves well to ball, developing hand actions out front with momentum moving through, uphill throws with hooked arm stroke, clocked up to 68 mph. Very good student.
