Donovan Hodges is a 2018 3B/OF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Norton, OH who attends Norton HS. Medium frame with strong, sturdy present build; strong throughout lower half. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.79 seconds. Sets up to hit slightly closed off and stays that way throughout swing; shifts well into contact and keeps hands inside the ball on inside-out path. Approach is to middle/opposite fields, shows good strength in the swing, flashed the ability to drive the ball into the air some when squared up. Worked out defensively in the infield; showed solid movements to ball with compact footwork, fielded cleanly for the most part and had solid accuracy on throws across the diamond with developing arm strength. Very good student.
