Sam Bianco is a 2020 SS/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Oxford, MS who attends Oxford. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Quick-twitch muscle, posted a 6.65 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and shows softness to hands, quick feet moving towards the ball and shows athleticism working through the ball, long strides, smooth funnel with a quick exchange, shorter arm stroke on throws, arm strength will continue to develop with physical develop, accurate across the diamond. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; slightly open stance and gets closed well moving into contact. Generates bat speed through the zone and shows a handle for the barrel, contact oriented approach and shows comfort working to all fields. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball and shows flashes lift, occasionally opens front side early with swing. Named to Junior National Top Prospect List.
