Michael Aponte is a 2021 OF/MIF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Recorded a 6.86 second 60 yard dash time. Projectable frame with a lean, athletic build. Primary outfielder with good feet that attack the ball. Full arm action with low and accurate throws at 91 mph. Carries his momentum well throughout the process and shows loose and fluid actions. Secondary middle infielder who moves well and is light on his feet. Shorter arm action here with a tight release and the ability to throw from multiple angles. Throws it 87 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance and an inverted front knee. Short leg lift trigger gets things started. Shows good carry off the barrel and power potential to the pull side. Has a fluid stroke and smooth operation, results will come as he continues to develop his timing. Great student. Named to the 2020 WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
