Kyle Crawford is a 2019 C/ with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Dixon, IL who attends Dixon. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional size and strength. Primary catcher with an even, balanced stance while receiving. Gains ground while working out of crouch. Loose, smooth paced exchanges while working through transfer. Released from a compact three-quarters slot. Throws produced stiff, on line carry to the bag topping at 79 miles per hour. Best workout pop time of 1.85. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct hand path to baseball with a lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed good feel for the barrel with the ability to repeat path and plane while working to all fields. Good student as well.
