Justin Armond is a 2019 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from La Palma, CA who attends Los Alamitos HS. Small frame with a lean build and room to add. Ran a 6.70 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Uphill release from a three-quarters arm slot. Gets good direction when moving towards home. Accurate throws topping out at 84 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a short swing and quick hands to contact. Middle of the field to opposite field approach. Occasionally squaring the ball up when on time. Righthanded pitcher with a tight arm circle in back and releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot. Generates drive down the mound with lower half. Arm side run on the fastball topping out at 81 miles per hour. Challenges hitters early. Looser spin to curveball that can tighten up on occasion. Good student as well.
