Kelvin Hidalgo Villar is a 2017 OF with a 6-4 190 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Dominican Republic. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable build with room to fill but has present strength. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and uses a big crow hop to gain momentum, extra step upon release, shows present arm strength and projects for more with additional lower half, higher slot and creates extension out front, nice carry to intended base. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box, leg lift trigger for timing at start of swing. Swings with intent and looks to impact the baseball, creates extension out front and able to lift the ball to pull side. Occasionally gets off balance but shows nice carry and strength off the barrel when squared.
