Andrew Tank Rodriguez is a 2020 C/1B, 3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Summit. Large athletic build that only stands to get stronger as he develops. Primary catcher, quick transfer and quick feet from behind the dish. Lives around the second base bag with his throws down. Posted a 1.93 second pop time. Receives the ball well and shows a solid framing skill set. Good all around tools for a coach to work with. At the plate, uses a spread, open stance with a double toe tap trigger. Hands possess some quickness, finds some whip through the zone. Creates lift with his slightly upward barrel plane and uses his present strength in his swing. Solid overall pop that has the ability to split the outfielders in both gaps.
