Colin Tuft is a 2021 C/2B, 3B, OF, UT with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Vienna, VA who attends James Madison. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary catcher with a low, even stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground towards the bag while working out of crouch. Clean glove circle while working through transfer and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag at 71 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.09. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Displayed good balance throughout swing while employing a mid-field, line drive approach. Consistently produced sharp contact off the barrrel with the bat speed to split each gap when squared.
