Kai Saterstrom is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends High Tech-Chula Vista. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.23 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet and shows athleticism to actions, sound footwork and works through the ball, picks the backhand well, fields out front and hands play well, shows balance to actions, longer release and gets on top of the ball, shows arm strength across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a gap-to-gap approach. Upper body dominant swing and pulls front side, looks to lift the ball at point of contact with some loft at point of contact, can work to all parts of the field. Excellent student.
