Robbie Gordon is a 2012 RHP/ with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from St. Louis, MO who attends Maryville University. Tall, lean frame with wiry strength. Projects for additional size with strength. Quick tempo delivery while creating a good weight shift to the back side at gather. Shows a quick arm action with solid whip from a three-quarters arm slot. Creates some downhill angle on a fastball that showed heavy actions in the upper 80's to low 90's, topped at 92 mph. Features his change up as an out pitch. Repeated change up offering very well with deceptive arm speed and late sink at 80 mph. Flashed an 11/5 curveball with solid spin and depth. Both the change up and curveball showed plus potential to continue to develop. Commands both edges of the zone well with all pitches. Knowledgeable, mature presence on the mound. Recent graduate of Maryville University of Saint Louis. Named to 2016 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
