Dawson Durkes is a 2020 SS/2B/OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Berryton, KS who attends Shawnee Heights HS. Medium athletic build with some prsent strength. 7.31 runner, has good hands at the ball on defense, can lengthen his stride out front throwing for more carry and accuracy, has some raw arm strength already, has defensive tools to develop. Left handed hitter, big leg lift load and busy hands, lots going on before he starts his swing, ends up off balance and late to start his swing, uphill swing plane, has the strength to hit but can really improve by simplifying his approach for more consistency. Good student.
