2019 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Abel Saft is a 2021 RHP/IF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Kintnersville, PA who attends Moravian Academy. Recorded a 7.28 second 60-yard dash time. Taller frame with some physicality present and broad shoulders with room for more. Primary righthanded pitcher with a steady tempo and a slight coil over the rubber at a belt high leg lift. Longer arm stroke with an over the top tight arm slot. Works down in the zone well with some angle. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with tough angle. Creates some arm side run when extended and was able to generate swing and miss. Secondary pitches showed good potential. Arm strength plays well from secondary positions of the infield and first base. Righthanded hitter with a big leg raise and has some strength. Gap to gap approach with some backspin and carry off the barrel. Good student. Named to the 2019 Mid Atlantic Showcase Top Prospect List.
