Jacob Lowe is a 5'10" 145 pound 2009 middle infielder and outfielder from Plant High School in Tampa, Florida. He has a medium frame that is very lean throughout. Jacob had a very good batting practice. He has a quiet approach and a wide stance with a short path to the ball. He swings hard and is very aggressive with good bat speed. Lowe makes solid contact and really turns on ball well on the inside part of the plate. He has good raw power that will continue to develop as he matures. In the field, Jacob showed decent arm strength by throwing 73 mph across the infield during the workout. He went back on a ball in the outfield very well. Jacob is also an excellent student with a 3.95 gpa.
