Carson Behrens is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Davenport, IA who attends Davenport North. Behrens has a lean build with slightly open stance and high hand set. Contact approach with a line drive swing plane. Linear to ball with lower half and good weight transfer into swing. Swings with a purpose, keeps hands inside baseball and goes with pitch. Hits to all fields with consistent contact. Defensively, primary catcher, gains ground with lower half, 3/4 release point, accurate throws to bag. From the OF, long arm action, fields out front, has foot quickness in approach to ball. Good Student.
