Ronny Williams is a 2020 C/3B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Douglasville, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal. Compact build with an athletic build and wiry strength. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground while working out of crouch with smooth paced footwork. Looser glove circle at exchange and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced some on line carry to the bag topping at 69 mph, best workout pop time of 2.20. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance and leg lift trigger. Loads deeply into back side and worked to contact on an inside path. Barrel came through the zone on a naturally lifted plane. Consistently worked the ball to the middle of the field and opposite field gap, flashed some jump off the barrel when squared. Very good student as well.
