Max Harrell is a 2021 C/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Wall, NJ who attends Wall High School. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, gains some ground with lower half, compact arm action with a tight release from ear, shows carry on throws down to second base with accuracy to the bag. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Gets weight moving through lower half well into swing, hands work and looks to impact the ball at point of contact, occasionally gets to front side early. Shows consistent jump to his pull side, simple contact off the barrel with best strength to left field, quickness to hands. Very good student.
