Mario Cuevas is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Stony Point, NY who attends North Rockland HS. Medium and projectable build, athletic and slender frame. Ran a 7.54 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, athletic movements to ball, fields out in front sometimes overly extended at gather, extra step at release, arm works into throws, loose arm action with accuracy to the bag, average arm strength that will likely get better with development topping out at 76 mph from the outfield. Lefthanded hitter, wide open stance, long hand path to ball that extends early at times, swings with intent to lift, front side flies open on occasion, solid bat speed that will get quicker as he matures, needs to get stronger for added pop off of the barrel and increased bat speed. Good student.
