Zack Gauck is a 2020 LHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends First Colonial HS. Recorded a 7.36 second 60-yard dash time. Lean frame with a younger build and room for additional physicality. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a long arm stroke and an over the top arm slot. Creates down angle on the fastball recorded up to 74 mph. Slight cutting action on the pitch and commanded it well to induce weak contact. Curveball showed 12/6 break and shape while the changeup maintained fastball arm speed and had slight fading action to it. Secondary outfielder with an uphill release and has good accuracy into the infield. Lefthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a level swing plane. Direct path to contact. Good student.
