Bryce Bernal is a 2020 SS/RHP/C with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Whitier, CA who attends California HS. Slender young build, lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.26 runner, moves well on defense and has balanced actions coming through the ball, glove works well and gets it out and down early, throws primarily from a lower slot and makes accurate throws, solid overall infield actions defensively. Right handed hitter, open stance with a rotational upper body swing, tends to drift out front with his lower half, line drive swing plane, should continue to improve with additional strength. Also pitched, very compact arm action from a high 3/4's slot, good lower half drive through release. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, some feel for a change up with good sinking action. Good student.
