Samuel Smith is a 2021 3B/1B, OF, UT with a 6-6 190 lb. frame from Lilburn, GA who attends Parkview. Extra-Large frame with a wiry type build. Room to fill out physically on the frame. Ran a 7.05 second sixty yard dash. Primary Third Baseman, showing clean footwork as he worked athletically around the baseball. Clean gather out front as he works into transfer. Longer arm action as he threw it 84 mph during drills. Proved to have some feel for the position. Secondary First Baseman, keeping the baseball in front of him as he funnels it out front. Confident in the glove as he scooped it up. Was accurate with throws turning two as he proved to be fundamental in his footwork as well. Secondary Outfielder, working aggressively into it as he gathers the baseball to the side. Carries weight into throws well as he released from a lower slot. Carry to throws with accuracy as he threw it 84 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, pinched knees as he works into a low leg lift to stride. Short and simple cuts as he finds the barrel often. Lets the baseball get deep as he proved he could drive it to all fields. Outstanding Student. Named to Gulf Coast Top Prospect List.
