Chase Wilson is a 2018 C/IF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Murphy HS. Recorded a 7.20 60-yard dash. Strong and athletic frame with broad shoulders and physical projection. Primary catcher with quick feet and very clean transfers and releases. Solid arm strength and the throws carry with very good accuracy to the bag. Fast paced delivery on the mound and threw from a three-quarter arm slot. Quick arm speed with a shorter arm action and gets some downhill plane on the ball. Fastball showed good running life and worked well to the arm side on batters of the same handedness. High hand set and high back elbow at the plate. Small stride into the pitch and showed pull side contact.
