Steve Orsini is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Poolesville, MD who attends Poolesville. Strong athletic build with room to get stronger. 6.97 runner in the sixty. Left handed hitter, has a sound fundamental swing with good timing and a consistent shift into contact, swings hard without getting out of control or off balance and creates bat speed, showed good feel for the barrel and squared the ball up with nice jump off the barrel, solid young hitter with tools. Runs well, 6.97 in the sixty. Showed some two-way potential on the mound. Has a fast paced delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot and good arm speed. Gets downhill well on a low 80's fastball that topped out at 83 mph with a some late sinking action. Curveball was a solid second pitch with tight downer spin and bite. Good student.
