Cooper Oliphant is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-9 195 lb. frame from Sheridan, AR who attends Sheridan. Strong athletic build with present athleticism. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a low side saddle start. Flashed quick feet with the ability to gain ground from behind the plate when throwing to second base. Showed good arm strength and fast hands with accurate on base carry topping out at 79 miles per hour from behind the plate while posting a 1.98 second pop time. Showed athletic actions working to and through the ball in the infield. Flashed quick feet with polished footwork in the infield as well. Displayed good arm strength across the infield with on base carry topping out at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter. Utilizes a upright slightly open stance with a big leg lift trigger. Displayed the ability to be on time creating consistent loud contact during batting practice. Employs a gap to gap approach with present power and lift in the swing creating ability to drive the ball deep into the outfield. In games showed power with multiple hard hit extra base hits. Arkansas commit. Named to the 2019 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
