Cruz Mullinix is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Toccoa, GA who attends Stephens County. Medium and lean frame with room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.44 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, easy delivery with a high front lever, short stride with some crossfire down the mound, creates an angle to glove side and is able to work to both sides of the plate effectively, will vary arm slot from high 3/4 to true 3/4, creates a downhill plane with deception to operation. Fastball topped out at 76 mph and is able to elevate it effectively, mixed in a curveball with developing spin that comes from a similar tunnel as the heater, locates well and projects well physically. Secondary first baseman, breaks down at gather with shuffles around the bag, hands play, full arm action with a 78 mph best throw from first base. Lefthanded hitter, sets up with an even base at the plate, long swing plane with developing bat speed through the hitting zone. Outstanding student.
