Ryan McKinley is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Oakley, CA who attends Freedom HS. Showed at both outfield and catcher. In the outfield he took a good approach to the ball, had a smooth transfer, and threw online. Behind the plate he again made accurate throws with solid receiving skills, quick transfer and arm speed with a 2.00 pop time. In the box he stands wide with an open and upright stance, holds the bat flat above the shoulder with slight rhythm in the hands. Take a short gather to rear leg, small leg lift with internal rotation that creates coil, lands with a bent lead leg and generates bat speed to the ball. Good Student.
