Alex Krylov is a 2019 C/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Newton, MA who attends Newton North. Large build, broad shoulders, tall and athletic frame with lots of projection, ran a 7.02 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, works from 3/4 arm slot, quick footwork with heel click, low carry on throws with solid arm strength, accurate arm to the right side of the bag, 2.04 best pop. Also took reps in the outfield, attacks the ball, short and tight arm action with some carry, reads hops well prior to big crow hop into throws, 76 mph top outfield velocity. Righthanded hitter, wide base, slightly open stance, high hands with a high back elbow, rotational lower half, direct hand path with lifted barrel plane, mostly gap to gap approach with potential loft to the pull side, some feel for the barrel. Excellent student.
