Javon Connolly is a 2018 OF/IF, RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Kenosha, WI who attends Kenosha High School. Tall, lean build with a slender frame and lots of room to continue fill out physically. Posted a 7.39 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, longer arm action with developing actions to the ball and raw arm strength. Also worked out in the infield, showed a quick transfer and good actions on the slow roller. At the plate, started open with a hand set close to the body and a leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing plane with an inside hand path that shows some rotational action. Would improve with additional lower half incorporation and leverage. Also pitched, high three quarter slot with minimal effort and an online landing. Fastball worked 74-76/78 mph with slight arm side life and filled the zone. Also mixed in a curveball with 12/6 shape and depth. Will see fastball velocity tick up with lower half drive and finish towards the plate.
