Brock Bernall is a 2018 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Lakewood, CO who attends Pomona HS. Worked out at both catcher and outfield and showed his athleticism in both positions. At catcher he has a staggered stance, gains ground and threw accurately to second base. In the outfield he showed good, athletic actions to the ball; good first step, aggressive to the ball, uses his legs well. His feet are quick, confidence with the glove, long arm swing and strength on throws to third base and home. At the plate he has a wide stance with a crouch that puts his chest over his toes. Gathers to the rear leg with a toe tap, stride separates to strong launch position, good lower half mechanics. Works up to the ball with good bat speed and worked consistently with lines drives to left center field. Great Student.
