Jake Davey is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Saint Peters, MO who attends Francis Howell Central HS. Large/extra-large frame with strong, sturdy present build. Spine tilts back into delivery on the mound, hides the ball well behind his back until release, uses his lower half well throughout delivery and does a good job getting online for the most part. Gets up to high three quarters arm slot and gets downhill pretty well. Fastball worked 72-75 MPH with good life to the arm side on the pitch. Mixed in both a curveball and changeup as well. Curveball has 2/8 shape with good spin, has some sharpness to the break and he shows the ability to command the pitch as well. He also turns over the changeup well out front, which generates solid fading action on the pitch. Repeated his delivery well and threw strikes with all three pitches.
