Briggs Neff is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Rexburg, ID who attends Madison Senior HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a very high leg lift up past belt, compact arm action through the back and hides the ball well creating deception, fast arm and works to an over the top arm slot while generating extension out front. Lands online and shows athleticism to delivery, fastball topped out at 84 mph with sinking life down in the zone, occasional cut action to glove side. Maintains arm speed and velocity out of the stretch, shows consistent downhill plane to fastball. Ball comes out of hand easy, shows a feel for the curveball that developed throughout outing with 11-5 shape and bite down in the zone when on top of the ball. Quick transfer on throws from the outfield, moves to the ball well and shows solid hands with loose overall actions. Righthanded hitter at the plate, begins with a narrow stance and shows an aggressive approach in the box. Loads weight on back side, shows bat speed coming through the zone with a line drive swing plane, swings hard and generates contact to pull side. Very good student.
