Michael Williams is a 2018 OF with a 5-8 142 lb. frame from Washington, DC who attends Dematha Catholic High School. Younger player with a lean, slender frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.50 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, works well through the ball, fluidity to actions, carry out of the hand, and arm strength up to 78 mph. At the plate, started slightly open stance, medium hand set, and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Gap-to-gap approach at the plate with intent to drive the ball. Created leverage through lower half with a line drive swing plane, and developing bat speed. Additional rhythm and strength in swing will help improve consistency at point of contact.
