Chris Bollefer is a 2020 C/IF, OF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Centennial, CO who attends Grandview. Compact frame with beginnings of strength. Primary catcher with an even, balanced set while receiving the baseball. Gains ground towards the bag while working out of crouch with clean footwork. Clean glove circle with quick glove to hand exchanges. Released from a compact arm slot creating accurate carry to the bag at 73 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 1.96. Also worked out defensively from the infield, rounds the baseball well with fluid glove actions while funneling. Flashed solid first step quickness while setting angles to each side. Utilized a quick release that created accurate carry to the bag at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, balanced stance and high back elbow set. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Flashed present bat speed with a clean, line drive barrel plane. Primarily worked to the middle of the field and pull side with the ability to throw barrel head with aggression. Also pitched utilizing an inline delivery. Hid baseball well at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball generated some sink to the bottom of the zone in the upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Maintains arm speed with a changeup offering that created solid deception to hitters. Looked to attack the bottom quadrants of the strike zone and effectively induced weak contact. Very good student as well.
