William Wentz is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 152 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Brebeuf Jesuit Prep. Lean athletic build, looks a bit bigger and stronger than listed size. High energy delivery with an early drift to the plate, arm has to rush to catch up, high 3/4's arm slot creates good downhill angle when he's synced up well. Steady low 80's fastball, topped out at 82 mph, gets some running action down in the strike zone. Curveball has some tightness with 11/5 depth on occasion. Change up is a bit firm but has good fading action. Can be effective when he's staying back in his delivery and using all three pitches. Good student.
