Andrew Taormina is a 2020 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Bishop Gorman HS. Recorded a 7.90 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with long limbs, broad shoulders, and room for additional strength. Primary first baseman with soft hands and deliberate actions. Quick exchanges to the throwing hand and throws from a three-quarters arm slot. Drops slot with intent and accuracy. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a loose arm stroke and a three-quarters arm slot. Stays balanced at the gather and drops and drives toward the plate. Curveball had 10/5 shape and also flashed a changeup with good arm side run. Righthanded hitter with an upright, open stance. Simple leg lift trigger toward the pitcher with a rotational lower half. High hand set and high back elbow with a loose swing path. Slightly lofted barrel plate. Looks to pull and flashes some jump off the barrel. Good student.
