Braden Winget is a 2018 1B/ with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Draper, UT who attends Corner Canyon. Large frame with long limbs and wiry strength. Frame projects to continue to add strength. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels out front with sound glove actions and worked through exchange efficiently. Released from a three-quarters slot generating accurate, on line carry across the infield at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Worked to contact with linear lower half actions. Swung with intent on a loose path that flashed solid hand quickness. Utilizing a naturally lifted barrel plane creating loud, sharp contact to the gaps when squared. Showed best pop when turning the barrel to contact and working to pull side. Good student. Named to the 2017 California Uncommitted Showcase, Top Prospect List.
