Reece Hill is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Scripps Ranch HS. Medium-athletic frame with lean build, has plenty of room to fill out. Right handed hitter, slightly open stance, upright with high hands set. Quiet, measured load and weight shift, flashed solid hand quickness and ability to get the barrel through the zone well. Slightly uphill swing plane with some length, shows ability to use the entire field with solid line-drive contact up the middle. Worked out in the infield at this event, moves well laterally to either side. Developing footwork, shows solid arm-strength and accuracy when working through the ball, also has soft hands and a quick release, up to 75 mph in defensive drills. Ran a 7.45 second 60-yard dash. Very good student.
