Fernando Santos is a 2017 MIF/3B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Carolina, PR who attends Carvin School. Medium build, plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, negative load direction at the plate, shifts backwards and leans his upper body back, keeps his hands tight, swings hard and has some hand strength, middle of the field approach, needs to get his body and core heading towards the pitch to improve quality of contact. 7.33 runner, third base actions on defense, long arm action with some carry on his throws, good one step quickness to the ball and has anticipation. Good student.
