Alex Arnell is a 2018 2B/MIF, OF with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Chesterfield, NJ who attends Northern Burlington. Young, athletic frame with slender present build and lots of projection remaining on frame. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.37 seconds. Sets up to hit with medium-based stance and good balance, strides long into swing and employs quick torso rotation to whip barrel through zone. Extended hand path from deeper load, shows bat speed, wants to hit the ball out front and pull it with authority. Showed consistent contact skills with the ability to use the entire field at various points. Worked out defensively in the infield, waits back on the ball well and stays balanced throughout, shows ability to get to the ball cleanly to both sides with range, fields cleanly out front, short and compact arm action with quick release, arm strength across the diamond clocked up to 69 MPH. Very good student.
