Danny O'Donnell is a 2017 LHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Round Rock, TX who attends Rouse HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, young look with a very lean and projectable build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a leg lift up past belt, slight hip turn at top with a short stride down the mound and lands slightly closed. Full arm action coming through the back, works to a lower three-quarters arm slot, able to generate short running life to fastball with release. Topped out at 76 mph, works down in the zone consistently, velocity plays up with slot and command, will occasionally drop slot even lower, induced steady amount of weak ground ball contact. Worked quick and filled zone, mixed with comfort and kept hitters off balance, short 1-7 shaped curveball with depth at 66 mph, tends to slow arm action on changeup at 69 mph and gets under the ball. Good student.
